General Tips and recomendations

With the guide below there is no need to stress about what to wear for your maternity photo session.

Below you will find looks suggestions and tips how to look and feel your best.

1. Select fitting clothing and solid colors.
2. Avoid patters and textured clothing.
3. Think TIMELESS.
4. Think about a compile look — main piece (dress, bodysuit, suit, etc.) + shoes + accessories + proper underwear or its absence;)
for example: black maxi dress + black or red high heels pumps + black hat +  black bra and no show black bikini panty.

HOW DO I GET READY FOR THE PHOTO SHOOT?

Try not to wear tight underwear and clothing on the day of the session to prevent marks on your skin.

Get a manicure and a pedicure a day or two in advance.

I strongly recommend using a professional makeup artist.

NAILS

Pick nude soft muted colors manicure and pedicure.
Beige or light pink will look great and complement any look.
Remember hands are gonna show on images a lot and it’s one of the first thing we look at it when we view photos.

PARTNERS WARDROBE

It is very important that your partner feels comfortable. Do not force him to wear something that he is uncomfortable with and dislikes, or to change clothes many times.

1. For your look in a formal dress — a classic: a shirt and dark trousers. Jacket, tie, bow tie — optional. Classic boots.

2. If you have casual clothes — jeans, T-shirts, sweaters — choose the same for your husband:

 — white, grey or black T-shirts and polos  without bright prints and logos

 — light colored shirts as white, light blue, light pink, grey

 — blue or black jeans

 — trousers of a natural shade  such as gray, brown, mustard, beige

 — light sweaters

 — leather or denim jacket, if you have the same

3. If you want a photo in underwear with your partner, then it is best for him to leave only jeans. It should not be that the husband is fully clothed, and you are practically undressed. Unless it’s a special idea.

EXTRA WEIGHT AND SKIN IMPERFECTIONS

My goal is for you to feel the most beautiful you’ve ever felt in your life. That is why you don’t have to worry about any of those things. Professional photo retouching is included in your session. I specialize in the most comprehensive and detailed editing, and while I focus on creating a natural look I will edit your photos to your liking.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME POSING FOR A PROFESSIONAL PHOTO SHOOT

I will guide you through every step of the process, showing you how to pose in a way to flatter your new curves so that you look at your best. Even if this is your first time on set, I will make sure you feel comfortable and at ease.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO HAVE A PREGNANCY PHOTO SHOOT?

The best time for a maternity session is between 27 — 34 weeks of pregnancy. The right time is different for every woman and I recommend not to wait for too long because you will never know when the baby will actually come.

MAY I BRING MY SPOUSE / MY OTHER KIDS WITH ME?

Of course! Your significant other is welcome to join you during the session. If you have older kids, I am happy to take family pictures to celebrate this special moment in your family’s life.

DO YOU PROVIDE DRESSES/WRAPES/FABRICS?

I have a selection of beautiful sheer Italian silks and other fabrics for draping at the studio.

DO I HAVE TO BE NUDE?

Not at all.

All of my maternity sessions are customized and tailored to the needs of each client. Some clients prefer clean and simple artistic nude photographs and wraps, while others prefer to be fully clothed.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

My studio is located in Kendall MIAMI, FL.

The address is: 13719 SW 100TH TER, Miami, FL, 33186
